The community of Grant is located in Platte Canyon, along Highway 285, at the confluence of the North Fork South Platte River and Geneva Creek, in the foothills of Colorado's Front Range.
To the west of Grant are the towns Shawnee and Bailey, while to the west is Kenosha Pass, opening onto the South Park basin grasslands. Following Geneva Creek north along Guanella Pass Road (County Road 62) eventually leads to Georgetown and the I-70 via Guanella Pass.
