Blue River homes are a celebration of the awesome Colorado landscapes that they occupy. Nestled within private wooded lots along winding mountain roads, these properties promise many days spent hiking, fishing, skiing, or just taking in the fantastic views.
Large, and situated on generously-sized properties, Blue River homes for sale don't come up that often, and its not hard to see why. Those lucky enough to own real estate in this area are unlikely to want to give up this stretch of mountain paradise.
Luxury residences as big as 7000 square feet in floor space can be found here. Comfort and nature combine with interiors accented in raw, knotty pine logs and river stone, alongside towering fireplaces and wide open living spaces.
Expect to find ample sleeping space for friends and family, master suites with spa-like bathroom fittings and grand windows for taking in the scenery. Flexible spaces, lofts, and walk-out lower levels are also common features, allowing you to add a personal touch to these dwellings.
For those looking for something more affordable, Blue River condos offer urban convenience and a great list of amenities. Hot tubs, barbecue areas, and a playground included.
Still relatively sparse, Blue River real estate comes with a note of prestige, and many owners make extra income renting out their properties.

To the south, Blue River residents can drive to Alma, Alma Junction, and then Fairplay, the gateway to the South Park National Heritage Area.
The entire area around Blue River is known for its sweeping vistas, wooded valleys, and beautiful streams, and Blue River itself is no different. Notable peaks around Blue River include Boreas Mountain, Red Mountain, Quandary Peak, and Atlantic Peak.
Breckenridge, just a short drive north, is known for its world-class skiing across dozens of runs spread over multiple peaks.
Closer to home, Goose Pasture Tarn and Mohawk Lake are two scenic bodies of water known for fishing and sightseeing. Most of Blue River is great for fishing, featuring healthy populations of trout.
