Jefferson Lake
Jefferson Lake is one of the highest lakes sitting at more than 10,000 feet and is also one of the first lakes to freeze each season. The water at Jefferson Lake rarely reaches more than 50 degrees and is primarily manages as a “catchable” Rainbow Trout fishery, with plenty of Mackinaw mixed in. Other species include: Kokanee Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Brook Trout and Cutthroat. Jefferson Lake is a wakeless boating lake with Seasonal access.
Tarryall Reservoir
Tarryall Reservoir is a very popular fishing and camping destination since re-opening in 2005. Tarryall Reservoir offers some of the best fishing in Park County, with easy access year-round. The CPW has been stocking the lake with mid-size Rainbows mixed with Northern Pike. The lake provides well maintained access to both shore and boat Anglers, as well as ice fishermen. Species include: Brown, Rainbow, Cutbow, Cutthroat and Rainbow Trout.
