Ullr Fest will celebrate 57 years this December 11-15, 2019, and the Town of Breckenridge invites snow lovers of all ages to join the party. During Ullr Fest in Historic Breckenridge, don’t be surprised to see horned Viking hats adorning the heads of skiers and snowboarders. Join us for the biggest bonfire in town and more than 12,000 Ullr enthusiasts filling the streets for the Ullr Parade with crazy float participants skiing off jumps on Main Street or gliding along town in a hot tub. Pray for snow with us and Ullr himself… he’s ready for a good party.

Continuing 58 years of tradition, two local residents are chosen as the Ullr King and Queen for their contributions in the community and their love of snow. Nominate an Ullr King and Queen

Join local radio station, Always Mountain Time, for a town-wide talent show at the Riverwalk Center. Arrive early, the first 200 attendees will receive a free beer!

Thursday, December 12


Join the Breckenridge Distillery and the Breckenridge Mountain Rotary on December 12, 2019 in their quest to win back the unofficial world record for longest shotski.

We are looking for 1,300+ people to help us beat the current world record held by Park City, UT! Grab your friends and sign up today to join Breckenridge during Ullr Fest and be part of the world record Ullr shot!

Time: 4:00pm start, 3:45pm line-up
Location: Main Street Breckenridge
Cost: $10, to participate. All proceeds benefit the Breckenridge Mountain Rotary. Must be 21 years old to participate.


Request filming/photo/media access of Ullr Fest Parade and Shot Ski 

Check-in: You MUST CHECK-IN at the Riverwalk Center to get your ID checked, entry sticker and shot glass. Check in begins at 1:00pm-3:30pm. At 3:45pm, please meet on Main Street. No ID, no participation, regardless of if you’ve registered.



The centerpiece of the week, the Ullr Fest Parade, showcases Breckenridge’s wild winter fun while taking over Main Street. There will be cash prizes for the most creative float! 1st gets $500, 2nd gets $300 and 3rd gets $200.

Join us for the town bonfire and celebrate the ultimate homage to Ullr! We’ll burn old Christmas Trees from previous years. Entertainment provided by Red Bull.

Friday, December 13


Come prove your endurance and dedication to the cold at the Ullr Ice Plunge. Plunge into the frozen depths of the Maggie Pond and fully immerse yourself in winter’s chill.  Compete for the Best Plunge Costume to win prizes and glory! Weather Dependent.

There will be music, food, drinks and laughter. There will be a heated changing room and even a hot tub open to anyone willing to accept the challenge! Best Plunge Costume winner will receive their own decorated Ullr Helmet.

Time: 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Location: Main Street Station Plaza
Cost: FREE
Registration: Day-of registration at The Plunge.  Free to register.



Come laugh out loud with professional stand-up comedians Jim Colliton and Geoff Tice at Ullr Fest’s Comedy Night. All proceeds from this event benefit the Carriage House Early Learning Center.  Sponsored by Town of Breckenridge, BGV Gives and First Bank. Produced in partnership with Breckenridge Creative Arts and Breckenridge Tourism Office.

Saturday, December 14


Bring the kids for an afternoon of ice skating and free kids Ullr helmet decorating. Hosted by the Breckenridge Ambassadors.

Time: 1:15pm – 3:00pm
Location: Steven C. West Ice Arena
Cost: Free Entry, $4 Skate Rental



At this year’s Ullr Fest, the the Summit County Arts Council (SCAC) has offered artists from around the country the opportunity to showcase their imaginations and at the same time explore the extraordinary possibilities of a snowboard or ski as their canvas. The juried snowboards and skis will be exhibited at the Arts Alive Gallery from December 14 through March 22nd. A reception will be held from 4:00 pm- 7:30 pm at the Arts Alive Gallery to celebrate all that is Ullr!

Proceeds from the sale of these beautiful and unique pieces of art will benefit SCAC’s outreach programs.

Breck Music presents The Wood Brothers. The Wood Brothers are an American folk band consisting of brothers Chris and Oliver Wood, as well as multi-instrumentalist Jano Rix.
