Homes for sale in and around Bailey, Colorado, are located around the town itself, and in the wooded hills to the east and north. Situated on large plots, nestled next to long winding mountain roads, these homes offer peace, quiet, and striking views.
Many of these homes range upwards of 3000 square feet, finished in authentic log and plank siding, with spacious wrap-around porches, and walk-out lower levels. Expect massive garage spaces as well, perfect for workshops and other hobby spaces.
Interiors are modern, unsurprising given the distance to Denver, allowing these homes to remain up-to-date with regular renovations and improvements. Stainless steel appliances, granite counters, and beautiful tile work are all common features.
These modern, luxury fittings are complemented by classic rustic Colorado fixtures, like stone or iron fireplaces, bare log accents, and river stone surfaces.
Steep roof frames or barn roofs give rise to cozy loft spaces that provide fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. Main rooms especially, with their floor-to-vaulted-ceiling windows welcome in the floods of crisp, clear light.
Even Bailey's smaller homes will likely put you at the heart of a large plot of land, covered in pine and aspen trees, and frequented by deer and bighorn sheep.
The community of Bailey, Colorado, is located in northeastern Park County at the edge of the South Park National Heritage Area, Lost Creek Wilderness Area, and Pike National Forest.

Bailey is also where the Highway meets the North Fork South Platte River, continuing together upstream as the road continues west through the mountain valleys.
The town of Bailey was settled in the second half of the 19th century by William Bailey, who built a ranch, stage stations, and hotel in the area. In 1878, the Denver & South Park Railroad arrived at Bailey, and a post office was opened near the end of the same year.
Bailey is a welcoming town with community events for residents and visitors alike. This includes a number of annual festivals, like the Bailey Day festival, and the Bailey HUNDO, a grueling mountain bike race with proceeds going to support youth biking programs.
Bailey is home to the McGraw Memorial Park featuring a number of historic structures, recreational facilities, and a nature park.
The town also has some excellent places to stop for a bite, including the Rustic Station Restaurant, Coney Island Boardwalk & Hot Dog Stand, and Cut Throat Cafe.
Students around Bailey are served by the Platte Canyon School District #1 and attend Platte Canyon High School.
